Senior Payroll Administrator
An excellent company near Lake Forest is looking for an Senior Payroll Administrator who works well in a fast paced environment high stress environment. The Senior Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll for Corporate, Field, and Restaurant Employees, Garnishments, Locality Tax and data entry. The primary objective of the Senior Payroll Administrator is to ensure that all employees are paid correctly and on time. Will respond to a high volume of customer service related issues in a timely manner.
Duties for the Senior Payroll Administrator will include but not limited to the following:
Pay $24.04-28.85 per hour DOE
Schedule 8:00am-5:00pm
To be eligible for the Senior Payroll Administrator must meet all of the following requirements:
o Process child support, wage garnishments and terminations
o Resolve complex payroll issues
o Audit new hires on payroll master records for multi-state companies
o Record data concerning transfer of employees between departments, rate changes, address changes and direct deposit, and process manual checks
o Runs audit reports to verify data accuracy
o Review in detail all employee changes and transactions before payroll is transmitted to Sentric for processing
o Continuously looks for process improvements within the department, maximizing the technology systems that are available and recommends enhancements to current practices
o Assist in the implementation of payroll processes and standards
o Willingness to cross-train and provide back-up to both Accounts Payable and Treasury
o 2-3 Years multi-state payroll experience with a medium to large size company
o Proficiency with payroll software experience required; prefer prior experience with Sentric
o Time and Attendance software experience is a plus
o Requires working knowledge of MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
o Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
o Pay attention to detail and accuracy
o Must possess excellent customer service skills
o Must possess a sense of urgency
o Must be able to multi-task, strong organizational skills and work well with others
o Communicate effectively (verbal and written) at all organizational levels
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
