Job Duties:
Completes Design History File documentation
Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Determines manufacturing operation requirements and process parameters
Develops plans to evaluate process repeatability and stability
Develops product and process improvements
Participates in internal supplier audits
Performs deliverable checklist audits
Performs process and equipment validations
Provides technical support to other engineers
Reviews product performance data to identify trends
Supports manufacturing, development, and implementation processes
Ensures compliance with GMP's
Generates documentation for engineering protocols and reports
Implements quality system improvements
Writes engineering and manufacturing specifications

Job title: Engineer II - OEM
Design: Provides technical support in engineering for the design of products, processes, tooling and/or equipment on assigned projects with OEM/ Purchased Medical Device / Contract Manufacturing suppliers
Project Management: Under close supervision manages small scale engineering projects. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of projects.
Documentation and Systems: Under close supervision, develops product and process verification and validation, technical justifications, test protocols, and reports in compliance with design control requirements.
Analysis: Analyzes technical data and trends of some complexity and reports information about products and processes to appropriate employees, as assigned.
Optimization: Identifies areas for improvement of manufacturing and lab tooling and technical processes in all project phases and recommends changes to appropriate management. Provides production line support as assigned.
Presentation and Training: Provides technical training for employees. Provides process and systems training to other functional areas as necessary. Assists engineering with resourcing and identifying process, equipment and lab service subcontractors.
Safety: Identifies safety issues in the immediate work environment and other work areas and recommends solutions for improvement.
Continuous Learning: Reviews appropriate technical literature for necessary background on specific assignments.

Basic Qualifications (educational requirement, certification or licensing standards and experience requirements):
B.S. degree in science
2 years related experience in the medical device industry
Ability to apply engineering concepts and follow company procedures in order to solve routine technical problems
Working knowledge of personal computer software including word processing ,spreadsheet programs, statistical , and CAD programs
Must be willing and flexible to travel as needed (approximately 10-30% travel).

Preferred
Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Mechanical, Biomedical or Materials Engineering
Working knowledge of Minitab, SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.
Very good organizational skills
Very good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and present technical information as necessary for the company and for suppliers.
Very good analytical and problem solving skills
Very good interpersonal skills to interface on project teams as an effective team member
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
