Non-Bargaining Position Join the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System (VATVCBHCS) as the Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist in Logistics Service.
You will be responsible for the full implementation and maintenance of all inventory management requirements, which includes ensuring that Medical/Surgical (OR, Clinics, procedure areas, Anesthesia, etc.
), Dental, Laboratory, Imaging, Engineering, and Evironmental Management Services have all repetitive use items loaded in the Item Master File and that Generic Inventory Package is fully operational in all these areas.
You will provide backup support to Item Managers, Equipment Technicians, Distribution Technicians and Warehouse personnel when necessary.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Plans and directs enforcement of improved methods, providing enhanced support while reducing funds expenditure.
Responsible for conducting annual wall-to-wall inventories providing documentation of findings.
Operate a network system for the notification, removal from use and reporting through proper channels of all internal/external hazards.
Assists with forecasts; plans, submits and manages annual budgets for fund control points within Logistics Service.
