Planning Manager

The Planning Manager leads a team of Production Planners to achieve business objectives and to develop the team to increase capabilities.

Responsibilities :
Establish service and inventory goals for each planning function, ensuring they align to the greater organizational targets.
Establish and maintain clear, repeatable, and measureable planning processes that align with the Global Planning Blueprint.
Interface with operations to ensure the implementation and use of the most efficient, cost effective manufacturing strategies by product type.
Accountable to lead the Material and Production Planning functions and serve as the initial point of escalation for process, supply and inventory issues.
Responsible for creating career development plans, day to day coaching, and establishing clear, impactful goals by which each direct report is measured.
Proactively facilitate solutions to process, supply, and inventory issues.
Ensure finished goods inventory parameters align to distribution strategies and stock levels.
Monitor inventory levels of components, WIP and raw materials to ensure they stay within planned levels.
Manage Excess and Obsolete inventory (track, monitor, perform root cause analysis, and manage disposition and disposal of E&O) Monitor performance against KPI's and Process Health metrics Conduct meetings and deliver presentations as required Develop Inventory and Service strategies through the S&OP process.
Manage monthly S&OP meeting and required reporting.
Develop inventory modeling reports as needed.
Manage flow of NPD forecast information into ERP as well as new product launch time lines to Planning Team.
Support all new Supply Chain software updates or launches.
Understand the interconnecting systems and processes within the organization and develop as the planning subject matter expert.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
Direct management experience 5
years of Manufacturing Planning experience or equivalent experience.
BOM and Scheduling experience is a plus.
APICS certification preferred.
Experience developing new inventory and service metrics, SOP's, process maps Must have experience with SAP or Oracle as well as the MS Office Suite Must have experience in Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals Or Related Environment Must have experience utilizing Excel to analyse data Must have experience with Continues Process Improvements Must have experience with planning, inventory control, product lifecycle management, and inventory policies.
