Accounts Payable Associate
Job Description GREAT opportunity with a reputable, local company! Kelly Services is hiring IMMEDIATELY for an Accounts Payable Associate! The Accounts Payable Associate will process accounts payable invoices on a daily basis and complete related reporting requirements.
Some duties of the Accounts Payable Associate position are as follows:
-Scan and attach accounts payable invoices into the software system and perform data entry and import procedures of the invoices on a daily basis.
-Take appropriate action on discrepancies found between invoices and purchase orders and follow-up on credit memos due for returns or warranty issues.
-Provide and implement suggestions for improvements to the accounts payable processes and support a Lean work environment.
-Prepare and make available key metrics related to the processing of accounts payable invoices.
-Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by manager.
Requirements Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities- 2 or 4 year degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Minimum numeric data-entry speed of 12,000kph.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook and general knowledge of accounting systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to be efficient and accurate is crucial.
Highlights This is a part-time job, 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day Monday through Friday.
The schedule can be discussed based on the person's preference as long as it falls between the hours of 7am and 5pm.
This is a temp to hire position, and would be eligible for the full benefits package at 30 hours/week upon, or shortly after, hire.
