Design Engineer
Our client designs and manufacturing agricultural and lawn care equipment.
They need to add a Design Engineer to their staff.
He or she will participate in multidisciplinary design teams in the development of products throughout the entire cycle.
This is a hands on design and you will work closely with all departments to complete your projects in accordance with specifications, set schedule and budget limitations while coordinating activities of the team and vendors to reach these goals.
This plant is located between Madison and Milwaukee.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related degree 5
years of project design engineering experience and at least 3 years of project leadership experience multidisciplinary design teams.
Excellent communications and organizational skills.
Excellent CAD (preferably SolidWorks) skills and computer skills.
Experience with sheet metal products is desired Duties:
Develop project and use team management skills to lead the group during the planning and specifications and design and development phase of product development.
Responsible for making dimensional, mechanical, and functional products and components and conducting performance testing of a complex, diversified line of components and products.
Responsible for the design and development of drawings for production, prototypes, and for fixtures for testing.
Responsible for the compiling of BOM Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements from the Marketing/Sales/Management staff.
Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities; resolving problems.
Process engineering change notices.
Assist in sourcing and vendor selection in the development and supply of purchased items.
Make recommendations for changes to the standards.
Keep abreast and well informed as to new developments in the field through contacts, with educational institutions, seminars, professional societies, and perusal of tests, technical papers, journals, and periodicals.
