Program Support Assistant - FMS

This position is located at the Salem VA Medical Center in the Facility Management Services (FMS), Environmental Management Division (EMD).
The incumbent provides administrative support in all areas of the Salem VAMC Laundry Section.
The Salem VAMC Laundry is consolidates laundry plant that services multiple customers, which includes other medical centers and a State Veterans Home, and Produces nearly 4 million pounds of linen annually thus generating several hundred thousand dollars of revenue annually.
Types memorandums, forms, reports, and minutes of meetings;Performs receptionist duties;Maintains calendar appointments and schedules meetings;Processes incoming/outgoing mail;Handles procurement of supplies and materials;Performs timekeeping functions;Processes work orders;Handles customer billing;Tracks production data;Coordinates special laundry/linen deliveries;Tracks Equipment Inventory Listings (EIL);Assists laundry production and distribution employees with documentation pertaining to daily linen orders per customer, annual linen inventories, quality assurance checks of linen, training modules, and Automated Data Processing Application coordinator (ADPAC);Serves as the administrative liaison of the Textile Care Plant by resolving problems as they arise under the supervision of the Laundry Supervisor;Utilizes all basic Microsoft software applications;Performs timekeeping functions for multiple Time and Leave (T&L)Provides administrative telephone and timekeeping back-up coverage for FMS and CWT workers;Assists as backup support to other supporting needs of FMS; andPerforms all other duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
