Ideal Candidate o Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role working with HRIS, ADP and web-based HR applications.
o Great people skills and ability to function in an environment where HR is a partner not a policeman.
o PHR/SPHR certification or HR degree strongly preferred
o Experience in training others or develop training plans a plus.
o Desire to expand knowledge base and learn new things.
Under minimal direction of Human Resource Specialist the primary duties of the HR Generalist will be to support day to day operations of the HR Department of FrieslandCampina Ingredients North America, Inc. This is a salaried exempt position, not eligible for over time.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook version 2010 to create forms, pivot tables, templates, scheduling of meetings etc.)
o Knowledge of Business Systems and HRIS systems (ADP and SAP preferable)
o 95% accuracy in database entry is critical
o Efficient communication skills: Listening, Speaking, Written
o Ability to stay organized and balance competing priorities.
o Ability to switch gears and move seamlessly from detailed data entry responsibilities to project work and ad hoc assignments.
o Ability to work independently: Run with a concept, do research, develop a plan or process and come back to sell in the solution.
o Ability to put in long hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
o Ability to travel domestically with 1-3 night stays. Frequently in first six months then approximately once to twice a month thereafter.
o Most frequent travel destination: Delhi, NY (Western Catskills)
o Good sense of humor and a thick skin; Self-confident.
Responsible for:
Employee master data (input to ADP Workforce Now)
Leave Administration: FMLA, Worker's Compensation, Short Term Disability
Health & Welfare: benefits enrollment, payment of invoices
Recruitment: job positings, resume review, schedule of interviews
Other Projects as assignedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
