Description:
Staff will perform the full range of system administration tasks as defined by the Manager of UNIX Systems, such as, but not limited to:
- Install, configure, upgrade and administer IBM AIX 6.1 & 7.1 Operating Systems on Power6, Power7, and Power 8 servers
- Install, configure, support, upgrade and administer IBM Virtual Input/output (VIO) Servers using Advanced Power Virtualization (APV) features including the use of NPIV, Partition Mobility, and VLAN Tagging
- Install, upgrade, configure and administer day to day management of IBM Hardware Management Console combined with configuring and administering Partition Mobility, Application Mobility, CPU Pooling, Active Memory Expansion (AME), Active Memory Sharing (AMS)
- Configure NFS and CIFS to NFS with multi-protocol support and integration with NAS and NIS utilizing master/slave configuration
- Install and configure Sysback, NIM, CommVault for Bare Metal restore capability and Disaster Recovery. Install, configure and administer enterprise backup solutions such as EMC NetWorker and CommVault
- Use of system performance monitoring tools such as IBM Tivoli Tools, Splunk, Ganglia, and Big Brother
Create, modify and manage KORN shell scripts
Install, configure, upgrade and administer SAN and Storage, IBM San Volume Controller (SVC), SAN infrastructure on such hardware as IBM 2109-M48 SAN Director Switches, and storage devices such as, EMC VNX, IBM DS8300, DS3574 and v7000 storage systems

Qualifications:
Minimum of 72 months of experience installing, configuring, and administering IBM/AIX 6.1 & 7.1 systems on IBM Power Systems Servers.
Minimum of 72 months of experience installing, implementing and supporting IBM Virtual Input/Output (VIO) Servers using the Advanced Power Virtualization (APV) features including configuring NPIV, VLAN Tagging, Shared Ethernet Adapters
Minimum of 72 months of experience in day to day management of IBM Hardware Management Console combined with configuring and administering Partition Mobility, Application Mobility, CPU Pooling, Active Memory Expansion (AME), Active Memory Sharing (AMS)
Minimum of 60 months of experience installing, configuring, upgrading and administering Secure File Transport Solution. Configuring SSH, encryption tools and key creation and exchange
Minimum of 60 months configuring NFS and CIFS to NFS with multi-protocol support and integration with NAS and NIS utilizing master/slave configuration
Minimum of 48 months installing and configuring Sysback and NIM for Bare Metal restore capability and Disaster Recovery. Install, configure, upgrade and administer enterprise backup solutions such as EMC NetWorker and CommVault.
