Main Function
The Quality Control Supervisor has direct responsibility for the Quality Control Lab and Quality Inspection departments. The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the internal quality management system is clearly defined and properly carried out throughout the company. This position serves as an internal quality liaison across all departments by auditing, monitoring, coaching, and training others in quality concepts.
Required
B.S. Degree in scientific discipline or equivalent
Minimum 7 years related experience required. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
Ability to travel internationally
Knowledge of Automotive Quality Standards:
ISO/TS16949, ISO14001, VDA6.3 standards.
TS core tools i.e. APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, MSA
Quality tools i.e. PDCA, 7 Basic QC Tools, Kaizen, Problem solving methods
Duties
Oversee the operation of the QC Lab and Inspection sections; ensure they achieve quality results and maintain a high level of productivity.
Ensure the cause of nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality system are properly investigated and analyzed; promote a team approach to all internal abnormalities. Provide direction and guidance throughout the process and ensure corrective actions are sustainable and effective.
Control further processing of nonconforming material until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Partner with Engineering to plan and organize the testing and evaluation of new materials, parts, and machines.
Determine and establish the use of appropriate statistical techniques and tools in the organization and provide training to relevant personnel for such techniques.
Ensure that the quality management system is maintained and continually improved in accordance with the standard.
Conduct internal quality audits to identify opportunities to improve the quality management system.
Coordinate communication with internal parties on matters relating to the quality management system and ISO/TS 16949 & ISO 14001 certifications.
Candidates prior to an interview will be required to take an assessment test. If presented an offer, there will be a background check, drug screen and physical required.
