My name is Crystal and I represent The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Security Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Aurora, CO. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
The TEM/Nessus Security Engineer will be a key position on a team that is responsible for assessing vulnerabilities for applicability on our infrastructure, assessing risk, & deploying patches/OS updates/configuration changes across the affected systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on security compliance and vulnerability assessment scanning expertise across multiple, separate environments: defining scan rules, downloading/updating Nessus plug-ins & add-ons, coordinating/scheduling scans with environment stakeholders, executing scans, reporting scan results, and working with other teams to remediate scan findings using program processes.
Provide hands-on asset/inventory management expertise, developing and deploying patches using centralized management tools and scripts, both through the inventory management tools and stand-alone deployment.
Review vulnerabilities for applicability to the operational and development systems, assess potential impacts & prioritize/coordinate remediation efforts across multiple teams
Provide security engineering support for technical implementation of security solutions comprised of COTS, FOSS, & custom products
Follow established program security engineering policies, processes & procedures
Apply security standards, principles, theories, concepts & techniques to solve problems
Ensure completion of assigned project milestones as directed by immediate supervisor
Participate in the creation, management & resolution of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) & Work Requests (WRs) to include attending review boards for approval of requested work
Ensure compliance with all company safety requirements
