The Re-entry Counselor position is a full-time employment opportunity. This role works directly with students who have fallen out of attendance for various reasons, providing them perspective on life goals, academic and financial advisement. The Re-entry Counselor works to coach and advise students on academic progression and finance from the moment they come out of attendance through their first day returning to class. The role requires the use of fine-tuned critical thinking skills to help students overcome a myriad of obstacles and open the door to endless possibilities. In addition you will be working in a high energy, fast paced environment where you will be challenged by your peers and managers to push yourself to new heights, and all of this in one of the fastest growing industries over the last decade!

Essential Job Duties:
Correspond via phone, by both inbound and outbound contact, with students on a regular basis to ensure student retention and student success
Consistent ability to meet and or exceed department expectations
Represent the AU Brand well and carry the sense of AUs mission through each interaction.
Schedule and conduct re-entry interviews.
Must have the ability to meet the needs of a diverse student population in order to ensure an overall positive back-to-school experience.
Identify and address concerns of returning students.
Develop rapport and constructive working relationships with all students and staff
Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
Regular, reliable attendance which adheres to assigned work schedule including proper log in/log out for time recording, and meal and rest periods.
Proactively partner with other student facing and non-student facing staff including admissions, student accounts, student finance, and registrar
Ability to accept and implement coaching and feedback.
Adherence to all company and university policies. Comply with state and federal laws. Upholds the company and University compliance standards.
Ability to access company and University resources in order to maintain up to date knowledge about programs and process.
Communicate (oral and written communications) professionally with internal and/or external customers only utilizing approved University templates.
Communicate ideas for policy and procedure improvements to leadership
Ability to investigate, analyze information, and draw conclusions
Other duties consistent with this position as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
1 year of relevant work experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; other systems knowledge required.
Writing and Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrate high level attention to detail to ensure accuracy of student documents.
Ability to research, gather data, and compile information
Must be able to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment
Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Relatable CRM experience.
3-5 years of professional experience
Knowledge of federal financial aid programs and regulations
Knowledge of online distance education model and success strategies
Knowledge of customer service strategies and conflict resolution
Education:
Bachelors degree from a Regionally Accredited or approved Nationally Accredited Institution requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
