Responsible for all functions relative to the CPP dynamometer test cell.
Responsibilities:
Perform JSAs and other safety standard requirements to assure that the CPP dynamometer test cell is meeting all applicable safety guidelines and is continually improving in the area of safety.
Maintain and assure Preventive Maintenance is scheduled and completed for the CPP dynamometer.
Develop a test plan with the Engineering group for projects coming into the test cell. Maintain and publish a current test schedule and plan that shows all tests to be performed and current status to plan, including schedule status and cost of the testing/validation.
Participate in verification of the prototype units prior to beginning the validation work to assure that the units are ready for testing.
Manage and operate the CPP dynamometer test cell. Lead the preparation, setup, and operation of test equipment in the test cell to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions and maintain standardized record retention and action plans.
Perform the tests according to the agreed upon test plans and provide consistent updates on status to plan and findings in the testing process.
Maintain the proper materials and supplies for the CPP dynamometer to assure that we are able to complete projects on time.
Provide feedback and ideas for continuous improvement back to the Engineering and Production teams to support on-going continuous improvement.
Develop and implement validation improvements driven by involvement with continuous improvement programs, engineering innovation programs, Six-Sigma programs and customer driven programs.
Recommend and implement design and validation best practices to optimize throughput and assure safe and quality product.
Participate in the development and on-going improvement of the CPP QMS.
Ensure that all power units meet or exceed Cummins application guidelines and our quality standards when testing has been completed.
Maintain a high level of accountability for quality and quantity of work performed.
Provide hands-on / fabrication work to maintain safe, quality, and efficient completion of projects.
Provide problem solving and suggestions for resolution to support quality, safety and timely completion of projects through validation.
Participate in ECRs, Non-conformances, Quality Assurance, Corrective Action Record, and After Action review initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/
Experience:
Associates degree is a plus, experience in place of degree will be considered.
Experience operating test cells / dynamometers.
Experience with data acquisition systems, report generation, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
High mechanical aptitude and ability to apply sound technical problem solving principles. Electrical background a plus.
Knowledge and work experience with gas and/or diesel engines.
Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electric and pneumatic systems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
