Transportation Project Engineer/Project Manager

Position:
We are currently seeking a full-time Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Program. This person will have an opportunity to work both in the field doing construction management and in the office designing of transportation projects. We are looking for someone to help lead and grow our transportation program in Northern Wisconsin. This position could be filled at the Senior Project Engineer level depending on the successful candidates experience level.
Location:
Rhinelander, WI
Responsibilities:
Construction Management
Construction site project management
Project plan & specifications interpretation
Complete required WisDOT reports utilizing the following software:
FieldManager/FieldBook
Field Information Tracking (FIT)
Materials Information Tracking (MIT)
Lane Closure System (LCS)
Submit reports and documentation consistent with current WisDOT standards
Design
Prepare Design Plans using Autodesk Civil3D design software
Complete reports and documentation consistent with WisDOT formats
Conduct field investigations as required by reports or studies
Prepare technical reports, permitting documents, and cost estimates
Coordinate meetings with clients, the public, local officials, and utility representatives
Assist with mentoring of younger staff
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil or Construction Engineering required
The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of previous experience including WisDOT design and/or construction services
Previous WisDOT experience or client contacts in Northern Wisconsin would be a plus
Civil 3D experience preferred
Previous client liaison or project management experience or a desire to step into that role is preferred
Solid written and verbal communication skills
A desire to work in a consulting environment
PE license is a plus
