Product Engineer
This position in located in Holland, MI candidates must be willing to relocate to the area to be considered.
Summary:
The Product Engineer will design, develop, and document new products and product line enhancements with a focus on quality, cost, and best manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Creatively design, analyze, and document product designs on multiple projects
Determine material, labor, and overhead costs on products
Work with other engineers to determine best manufacturing processes for new and existing products
Apply engineering principles to ensure all quality aspects of product design and manufacturing are met
Investigate or develop use of new materials, processes, and concepts
Research and analyze competitive products to determine performance, cost, and packaging methods
Infrequently travel as needed throughout the United States and Canada
Work cross-functionally to ensure products and materials meet functional requirements over the life of the product
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in product design, mechanical engineering, or a related field OR 8
years of related engineering experience required
Demonstrated knowledge of CAD design systems required; ProE experience preferred
Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems required; SAP experience preferred
Must be able to work in the United States on a continual basis without sponsorship
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
