Description:
The business analyst will develop requirements for a number of high priority projects as well as serve as a report developer. These include the move from CCRS to Connections (this has wide implications on all DW reporting: Chapin Hall file, etc.), developing a data mart for data from State Department of Education, incorporating enhanced FAR data, data mart for child level KinGap data, changes to the KinGap report, a data mart on Safety Assessments, data request database and Close to Home data mart. Additionally, the BA will develop COGNOS reports from the above packages as well as other existing packages. This position is for a 24 month timeframe.
Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:
Identify additional data from Connections and OCFS systems to be supported in the OCFS Data Warehouse
Document new data mart requests, modifications and accompanying reports
Develop Cognos 10 complex reports
Work as part of a team on activities such as unit, system and user acceptance testing, data validation, documentation and knowledge transfer.
Support improvements in business process and OCFS Data Warehouse reporting to meet OCFS reporting needs
Respond to data requests
Use SQL and COGNOS tools on a routine basis in achieving the above tasks

Senior (60 - 84 Months experience)
Candidate is able to work without assistance and can provide leadership for others; may have advanced education.

Qualifications:
60 Months of Experience in translating user requests (new requests, modifications and accompanying reports) to into business requirements in a data warehouse setting
60 Months of Experience in use of SQL or related packages in evaluating databases to assist developing business requirements
60 Months of Experience developing and modifying COGNOS 10 complex reports
60 Months of Experience in activities such unit, system and user acceptance testing, data validation, documentation and knowledge transfer
60 Months of Experience in supporting business processes to improve reporting needs
48 Months experience in responding to data requests
24 Months of Experience in Social Services doing database related work/analysis
Bachelor's Degree
