This position involves a multi-grade career ladder.
The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-12.
At the GS-11 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence.
You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-12.
Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds.
The Equal Opportunity (EO)Manager position will be located at the VA Medical Center, Manchester, NH.
The EO Manager will serve as principal advisor to the Medical Center Director and manage the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Programs.
Duties include but are not limited to:
o Provide primary staff support to top management;o Provide services to Medical Center and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs);o Provide leadership, coordination and technical expertise to insure the effective and efficient administration of the facility's EEO Program, to include planning, directing, and implementation of the Affirmative Action Program, Minority and Female Recruitment Program; and acting as a liaison between the Office of Resolution Management and the facilities to support the Complaint Adjudication Program;o Serve as Chair of and provide training to EEO Committee, as well as providing training to other staff members involved in the planning, counseling, investigative, personnel and legal aspects of EEO;o Develop and conduct EEO training for supervisors;o Provide advice to employees and applicants who believe they have been discriminated against, and inform them of their avenues of redress; o Serve as a liaison to coordinate the timely, fair and impartial consideration and disposition of complaints; o Maintain and secure all documents pertinent to informal and formal complaints;o Track status of formal discrimination cases in process; o Provide assistance to expedite complaint processing; ando Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Full-time Monday through Friday from 8:
00 am to 4:
30 pm.
Relocation Expenses:
Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position.
Promotion Potential:
If filled at the GS-11 level, incumbent will be non-competitively promoted as appropriate to the grade of GS-12, contingent upon the incumbent meeting all regulatory requirements and demonstrating the ability to satisfactorily perform the work of the higher grade.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
