Relay Technician
MUST have Relay experience and be NETA certifiedThe Relay Technician will review elementary one-line diagrams and control wiring diagrams.
They will perform wire check out and point to point wire tests and perform relay commissioning on solid state utility relays.
In addition they will configure solid state relays with setting files.
This position will also verify solid state relay wiring and configuration and troubleshoot solid state relay system issues.
The individual will verify that overall utility relay protection scheme matches original elementary protection scheme design and verify circuit integrity by applying AC or DC current and simulating system functions.
Experience with 3 phase relay test set (Pulsar, Megger, Manta, or Doble) is needed.
The Relay Technician will perform testing on line traps, CCVT's, BCT's and experience testing CT's PT's and other equipment associated with protection schematics.
Experience with the following manufacturers' relays is beneficial:
Schweitzer Engineering Labs (SEL321, SEL421, SEL311, SEL451, SEL351, etc.
)GE Utility Relays (L60, L90, D60, D30, Multilin 750, Multilin 469, etc.
)BASIC
Qualifications:
Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and one year minimum same or similar work experience orHigh School education or equivalent and three years minimum same or similar work experience.
Basic computer skills including editing, formatting and using templates in Microsoft Word, use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research.
Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and night work.
Must have Valid Driver's License.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
