Maintenance Technician
Plant located in Portland, TN.
Our client is a privately held, mid-size manufacturer supplying the automotive market with medium to high volume, stamped metal components and welded assemblies. In business since 1968, they have multiple locations throughout North America. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with a positive attitude at our plant in Portland, TN (just north of Nashville). Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure that production equipment is kept in a safe and operable condition to assure efficient production of quality parts. Implement predictive and proactive maintenance systems to avoid costly and unscheduled downtime.
Typical Duties
Troubleshoot problems on production and related equipment. This includes PLC, press controls and weld controls.
Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for production related equipment.
Complete work from project list as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Requisition supplies and spare parts for maintenance areas and keep these areas organized.
Ensure maintenance repair requests are being addressed resolved and returned for proper recordkeeping in a timely manner.
Assist in TS 16949 implementation and maintenance as required.
Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production.
Work with outside tradesmen as required.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Associates degree related to Industrial Maintenance preferred
3 years' prior experience in automotive manufacturing
Technical skill in the areas of industrial electricity, PLC controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Strong electrical & mechanical background.
PC knowledge and experience.
Earn up to $30 per hour with strong skills & experience (this includes the potential of a $3/hour performance bonus). Those with good training and limited experience can expect to start out at $22/hour depending on your skills, experience and education.
