Position One:
You will be assigned to the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Team.
As a senior social worker you must be licensed or certified by a state at the advanced practice level and have two years years of post MSW experience treating PTSD patients.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Performs specialized treatment of complex physical and mental illness.
Make psychosocial and psychiatric diagnoses within approved clinical privileges or scope of practice.
Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy.
Provide advance level case management interventions used in the treatment of veterans with acute medical conditions.
Consult with colleagues on the psychosocial treatment of patients treated in the acute medial or sub specialty areas providing expert professional opinions.

PTSD Center Senior Social WorkerPosition Two:
You will be assigned to the Palliative Care Team.
As a senior social worker you will be responsible for clinical development related to Palliative care, including coordination of palliative care volunteers and will be accountable for clinical program effectiveness and modification of service patterns.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Performs specialized treatment of complex physical and mental illness for patients with diagnoses end of life disease.
Serves on multidisciplinary teams working with patients dealing with end of life issues, terminal or chronic illness.
Accesses patients understanding of his/her diagnosis and proposed treatments.
Help Veterans cope with end of life or complex chronic illness diagnoses and the emotions that arise.
Develops and cofacilitates bereavement support program.

Senior Social Worker Palliative CarePosition Three:
You will be assigned to the Mental Health Clinic (MHC) providing services to the veteran population enrolled at the Martinsburg, VA Medical Center.
Services include provision of high quality case management, individual and group therapy, clinical treatment, crisis intervention, advocacy, coordination of linkages to other appropriate VA or community service providers/agencies, as needed by the client.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Develop psychosocial assessment of veterans in collaboration with interdisciplinary treatment team.
Share and develop treatment plan with the veteran based on psychosocial assessment.
Make rapid assessments and develop crisis management plans for admission to inpatient programs.
Provide education related to VA and community resources, entitlements and advance directives/living wills.
Provide veterans and their family members with ongoing supportive counseling.
