JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description
Successful Candidates will:
Provide Quality Assurance Engineer support to the Project Technical Services organization and other client Project as directed. Oversee subcontractor field construction activities for compliance to contract requirements. Perform inspection of work activities involving mechanical, electrical, welding, and instrumentation. Develop, review and approve documents and procedures implementing the client QA Program to assure QA requirements are integrated into project work planning, procurement, and assurance of performance. These are to include commercial grade dedications and product Quality Control Inspection Plans. Perform QA surveillances, assessments, audits, and reviews to determine compliance with and effective implementation of the client QA Program. Mentor client in QA processes and procedures. Provide expert QA/QC guidance and problem solving expertise as requested to resolve and prevent quality problems.
REQUIRED
o BA or BS Degree in Engineering or Science or related field plus (10) years nuclear QA experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
o Prior experience in the oversight of nuclear and non-nuclear facility construction
o Prior experience with the design, procurement, and construction of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities and waste handling equipment.
o Prior experience performing surveillances, audits, and assessments.
o Prior experience with DOE quality assurance requirements.
o Prior experience in the development and implementation of NQA-1a-2009 quality assurance programs.
o Prior experience in the development of Commercial Graded Dedication Plans.
o Currently hold Level II inspector certification in mechanical, welding, civil, electrical, and or instrumentation
o .Excellent oral and written skills
o Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Access
o Proficient in the use of computer based procurement and work control system.
DURATION
Expected period of performance is twelve months from date of award.
