Quality Engineer

We are looking to fill a full time Quality Engineer with an automotive supplier located in the area of Benton Harbor, MI. Salary range $60k to $70k per year, great benefits, relocation assistance.
QUALITY ENGINEER
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Designs and installs quality control process systems, procedures and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanism and equipment; analyzes production limitations and standards; recommends revision of specifications when indicated; assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures; develops the economics of any quality control program when required. Oversee facilities conformance to TS16949 and other quality standards from both an internal and surveillance audit stand point. Review corrective actions from audits for effectiveness.
DUTIES % OF TIME
o Leads/facilitates cross-functional process improvement teams for
the improvement of product quality and elimination of product
rejects, process scrap or rework. 20
o Participate in development and implementation of new and
existing programs through APQP process. 20
o Prepare for and maintain TS16949 quality systems standards.
o Evaluate and maintain the company quality program for
compliance to customer standards and leading efforts to exceed
expectations. 15 15
o Conducts periodic layered process audits. 5
o Develops, monitors and acts on FMEA's for targeted production lines. 10
o Conducts product return defect investigations. 10
o Determines statistical control and capability for critical process
and product characteristics. 5
CLIMATE
The person in this constantly changing environment works at a fast pace with minimum supervision. Accuracy and good customer service is a must. The requirements of the business may cause frequent interruptions. Travel may be required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
o The job works in conditions of frequent exposure to noise, odors, operating machinery, temperature extremes, Hazardous substances, etc. Occasional overnight travel required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
