Medical Technologist
Job
Summary:
Performs medical laboratory tests and procedures, and analyzes in all functional sections or designated specialty area of the lab to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Reports test results, evaluates quality, troubleshoots systems and equipment. Maintains records of performance, quality control, remedial action plans, quality improvements and procedure manuals.
Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field including clinical rotation with two to five years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered or Registry Eligible: MT (ASCP) MLS: MLS (ASCP), AMT with B.S. or B.A. in Biology, Chemistry,or Physics, or Medical technologist HEW/HHS. OSHA Class I.
