Technical Support Engineer


Job Description:
Be the lead Technical Support Engineer at a well-funded, fast growing leader in the real estate payment market. Under supervision of our CTO and CIO, the position of Technical Support Engineer will reside within a software development and SQL Server environment in tandem with an in-bound call center.
You will provide technical and data processing problem resolution to in-house customer service (agents) and directly to clients from time-to-time, by performing a diagnosis while guiding customer service agents through step-by-step solutions.
Solutions include, but are not limited to, resolving registration problems (data mismatch), verifying proper browser setup guidance, assisting with navigating around application menus and troubleshooting email and communication issues.
Support will be provided by clearly communicating technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner. You will actively appreciate and include the diverse capabilities, insights, and ideas of others and work effectively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds, styles, abilities, and motivations.
DUTIES, TASKS, AND
Essential Functions:
Ability to learn an existing system:
Business processes and workflow
Data migration processes
Troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
At least 3 years of SQL Server experience
Ability to understand existing database structure
Query writing and optimization
SSIS manipulations
Advantage: DBA skills
Data manipulation techniques:
XML and XPath
Deep excel skills: data sorting, filtering, formulas, PIVOT tables
Proficiency in Windows OS architecture:
Processes, Permissions, File manipulation
Basic network knowledge
Scripting skills:
Batch, PowerShell
Advantage:
Knowledge of OOP
C#/VB#/
Personal Qualities:
Self-learning capability
Ability to work in an agile environment (Start-up mode)
Team player
The job description includes work after hours/weekend in case of emergency.

Base Salary $90,000 range based on experience
