Lean Manufacturing Engineer
Our client is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to be a part of the Lean Transformation team, this position will facilitate change and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Identify and take ownership of improvement opportunities in the manufacturing operations
Leading/facilitating continuous improvement activities in manufacturing facilities
Development of lean concept implementation plans
Train and coach others in how to lead utilizing lean concepts
Implement and sustain lean concepts in our plants
Support Lean Coordinators located in our plants
Assist team members with their efforts to implement and sustain lean concepts
REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated proficiency on the manufacturing floor with the ability to model and teach the following concepts: empowerment and teamwork, workplace organization, standardized work, continuous improvement, continuous flow, problem solving, quality improvement tools, and JIT production tools including Value Stream Mapping, lead-time reduction, set-up time reduction, process flow improvement, small lot production, heijunka, and kanban.
Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of management.
Ability to work individually and as part of a high performance team.
50% to 75% travel
5 years minimum experience as a leader or manager at a facility utilizing TPS/Lean Manufacturing.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or related fieldEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
