REGISTERED NURSE- ER RN
We are looking for Emergency Room RNs to work a 13 week contract at a hospital in San Jose, CA. Seated in the very heart of the prestigious Silicon Valley, San Jose is in the perfect location to access countless vacation hot-spots including San Francisco (35 miles), Monterey (75 miles), and Napa Valley (80 miles) to name a few. The positions include 36 and 40 hours per week on either DAY, PM, or NOC shifts. Pay will depend on experience and stipend packages for travelers will include many tax free incentives. QUALIFICATIONS
oExperienced ER RN - 2
years of experience
oCurrent California RN License required
oCurrent BLS, ACLS required
oMust have worked ER within past 12 months
Must be able to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies, and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. The registered nurse must be professional, experienced and caring, as customer service is the priority at our hospitals. Travel experience is preferred, but not required. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
o Uses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively.
o Promote interpersonal relations with all contacts in the hospital setting.
o Represents Maxim in the hospital setting in a positive image by serving as a role model in quality of care
delivered, manner of dress, and professionalism.
o Uses knowledge and practice in accordance with Nurse Practice Act; Standards of Nursing Practice;
Standards of Patient Care; JCAHO, state and local laws; and hospital policies.
o Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
o Current Registered Nurse License with in the state of practice.
o Prefer minimum of one year acute care experience in the area of expertise within the last three years
preferred.
o Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
o Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
o Current ACLS/PALS (per facility requirement).
o Current BLS.
o Successful completion of the Maxim clinical specialty screening with a score of 80% or greater.
o Full command, verbal and written of the English language.
o Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
o Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
