Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Responsible for effectively planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering. Department, including the direction and work assignments of Manufacturing Engineers and other staff. Five to seven years manufacturing engineering experience. Experience in Manufacturing and Problem solving techniques. Experience in labor analysis, workplace study, and time study. Experience with SPC, auditing and ISO Quality systems.
Responsible for effectively planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering
Department, including the direction and work assignments of Manufacturing Engineers and other staff.


Responsibilities:

Coordinates and supervises the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
Continuously searches for new processes, procedures and materials to enhance and improve production processes.
Coordinates with various departments to insure smooth operation and maximize efficiency.
Coordinates and tracks departmental cost-savings programs.
Analyzes training needs of engineering staff and secures training through best methods.
Responsible for various areas including, tool design and fabrication, equipment layout and planning, usage and root cause analyses, continuous improvement activities and others.
Insures that Manufacturing Engineering staff operates in a safe manner and maintains an awareness of danger to them selves and others.
Participate on RFQ (request for quotation)
Human Resource activities such as employee selection, pay administration, employee counseling, training, performance reviews, discipline, and the administration of policies and agreements.
Actively participates in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, organizational development, capital and operating budgets, and other corporate goals and outcomes.
Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:
Education: BS degree in ME, IE, IT, or ET from accredited school

Experience:
Five to seven years manufacturing engineering experience
Experience in Manufacturing and Problem solving techniques
Experience in labor analysis, workplace study, and time study
Experience with SPC, auditing and ISO Quality systems.

Skills:
Knowledge of specifications and requirements for automotive preferred.
Must possess project management skills, detail oriented and strong analytical skills.
Solid communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to work with associates at various levels.
Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, gauge design and build as well as other equipment associated with a manufacturing environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
