Boiler Mechanic - Deploy to Antarctica!

GENERAL DUTIES (not all inclusive):
Maintains a safe workplace program and ensures safety is the highest priority in the work place.
Maintains boiler systems in accordance with provisions of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Boiler systems may include steam, hot water heaters, along with other types of heating systems and air handlers.
Maintains, monitors, troubleshoots and repairs station boilers and associated systems, heat exchangers, pumps, controls, air handlers, commercial steam kitchens, and zone valves in all dorms.
Makes daily inspections of all boilers on station.
Monitors and repairs circulating pumps, back-up pumps, heat exchangers, strainers, valves, expansion tanks, air separators, unit heaters, heating coils and system controls to assure adequate operations.
Inspects all glycol and steam lines for damage.
Advises the Preventive Maintenance Foreman on job progress and material requirements.
Performs preventive maintenance in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
Monitors, regulates and repairs fuel lines and air adjustments for the boilers.
Monitors, repairs and maintains boiler control systems.
Submits reports as required by supervisor.
Works outside on various job sites in extreme cold weather conditions as required.
Performs other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or GED is required.
Certificate in Steam Boiler Operation/Maintenance is preferred.
Minimum 4 years' experience required in boiler operation and complete hydronic and steam HVAC systems maintenance and repair.
Ability to read design drawings and diagrams is preferred.
Previous experience with remote Polar Logistics operations is preferred.
Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods is required.
Must be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum.
Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
Must successfully complete the physical, dental and psychological (if applicable) examinations as required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica.
Must participate in community programs, such as house-mouse (chores), daisy-picking (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts and safety objectives.
US citizenship is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
