Human Resources Specialist (ER/LR)

This is a full time permanent position at the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System in Prescott, AZ.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide advisory and technical services in the area of employee relations and labor relations.
The incumbent is responsible for assignments which require analyzing and evaluating controversial and complex projects or cases, developing new or interpreting existing employee relations policy, providing formal and informal assistance and advice, and conducting special assignments relative to the VA HR employee relations program.
Incumbent provides guidance, consultation, advice and assistance to management on all aspects of employee relations issues.
This includes, but is not limited to:
grievances, disciplinary and adverse actions, ethics; employee assistance programs; performance-based actions; and reasonable accommodation.
Incumbent provides situational analysis involving moderately complex employee relations matters to determine appropriate corrective action.
Incumbent develops and proposes courses of action to resolve problems based on knowledge and interpretation of administrative case law, regulations, policies, and judgment.
Incumbent coordinates and communicates with the servicing staff and legal office, as appropriate.
Incumbent prepares cases and serves as technical advisor or personally represents the organization at hearings relative to adverse actions, performance-based actions, and grievances utilizing knowledge of the policies, procedures, and precedents of relevant adjudicating bodies.
Incumbent adjudicates suitability cases.
Incumbent assures that official case files are properly maintained with complete documentation to support recommended or final action.
Incumbent informs employees of their rights and the avenues available to them in dealing with work issues and concerns.
Incumbent analyses grievances, appeals and complaints to identify systemic problems and recommends solutions.
In addition to other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:
Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:
00am to 4:
30pm.
However position may require work beyond this schedule and travel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
