Delivery Truck Driver - Class B CDL
Wurth Baer Supply Company, one of the nation's premier distributors to the woodworking industry, is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver (CDL B) to support our Kentucky operations. This position is based out of Versailles, KY.
You will work 4 days per week @ 10 hours per day (weekdays only, 6am - 4:30pm) which gives you 3 days off a week! You will be responsible for loading your truck each morning with the assistance of other drivers and the Warehouse Lead Associate. You will use a computer program via a company-provided cell phone to plan your delivery route. As one of the most often seen representatives of the Company, you will exude positive and friendly customer service with each delivery. When you are not driving and making deliveries, you will assist with general warehouse operations (receiving, picking, etc).
Requirements:
An essential function of this job requires employees to continuously lift and lower packages that may weigh up to 50 pounds. To do this, you must be able to frequently adjust your body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot. In addition, you must work in an environment with variable temperatures and must be able to read words and numbers.
Qualifications:
Possession of valid Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement and minimum 3 years driving experience
Reliable, responsible professional with solid work ethic and good problem-solving skills
Ability to demonstrate a clean, current driver license record from the Department of Motor Vehicles for the past three years for each state licensed during that three-year time period
Ability to obtain the requisite medical card from a medical examination for commercial driver fitness, in compliance with 49 CFR 391.43
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
As this position is customer-facing and begins each morning at 6:00 am, individuals must like early mornings and must be customer-focused.
Previous warehousing experience preferred
