Position: Toddler or Preschool Teacher (both FT/PT available)
Reports to: Daycare Director and Office Manager
Position
Summary: Work independently, and with other teachers, to provide a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment where you care for and teach age-level skills and the love of Christ.
Position Requirements: At least 1 year of child care experience required.
Applicants must obtain the following prior to their first day of employment:
1) First Aid/CPR certification (including child and infant CPR)
2) HIV/AIDS and Blood Borne Pathogens training
3) Clear TB test
4) MERIT Portable Background Check Certification
5) Complete application and all applicable documentation for employment
STARS certification - provide proof of certification or begin your certification process within your first 90 days of employment
Present a clean, professional appearance according to the Employee Manual
Demonstrate the ability to lift and carry 40 pounds for a minimum of 10 feet, as well as the ability to remain on your feet for the majority of the day
Position
Responsibilities: As a teacher at Luv-N-Care Childcare Ministries, you must be able to: maintain a clean, organized, and healthy classroom (see Employee Manual); create and implement weekly curriculum plans approved by the Director; communicate well (verbally and written) with children, parents, and co-workers; communicate general and specific needs with your Director in regards to your classroom and children; maintain a positive, energetic attitude; manage conflict in a professional manner; provide an emotionally and physically safe environment for children; use positive discipline techniques; exude a Christ-like attitude towards children, parents and staff; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED; have at least 1 year of successful experience working with children in a child care or comparable setting; be a team player; have strong organizational, planning and communication skills; continue to keep current on your STARS certification by continuing your education each year; and demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
