Our client--the prime on a multi-year, high-profile Big Data Cloud infrastructure project supporting intelligence and security missions essential to national security--has immediate needs for Big Data Cloud S/W Engineers possessing an active TS/SCI with FSP located in MD.
Job Description
Specific tasking will include participation and technical leadership in requirements analysis, design, Java Development and all aspects of code acceptance and delivery. The successful candidate will work regularly (daily) with the customer to plan and perform work, participating as a member of the team and/or as a technical leader for the team, providing direction and mentoring for team members as required.
Basic Qualifications
Experience developing software using the Java programming language developing software using either C or C++. Software development/engineering which includes; requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as Hbase, CloudBase/Acumulo, Big Table, etc.
Experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.
Experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
Desired skills
Experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.
Understanding of Cloud Scalability.
Experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
Desired certification(s)
Hadoop /Cloud
