Qualifications:
o In college pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience o One to three years of relevant work experience. o Strong customer service disposition. Acts courteously and professionally when interacting with customers. Listens to customer concerns to identify their core needs o Proficient oral and written communication skills. o Strict attention to detail, the ability to work independently on assignments, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. o Ability to work as a team member. o Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with particular emphasis on Excel pivot tables and Look ups. o Works through assignments to completion with minimal oversight or supervision
Responsibilities:
Assisting with aspects of the Bank's capital and general ledger accounting functions, which includes controlling the fixed assets accounts, capital expenditure, Treasury General Account management and associated fiscal agency claims for expenses incurred by the Bank in performing work on behalf of the Treasury and other agencies.
o Timely processing of transactions received by the Bank. o Reconcile designated general ledger accounts o Distribute daily and/or weekly monitoring reports o Perform account and/or intercompany reconciliations o Record entries related to capital/general ledger o Field first level inquiries from business areas or vendors o Ensure processing work complies with district and System policies, standards, and procedures. o Act courteously and professionally when dealing with customers. Resolve issues quickly and effectively in a way that mitigates repeat inquiries. o Maintain effective relationships, communication and coordination within the department, and between the department and other Bank departments, vendors, and/or other external customers. o Ensure work follows established internal control processes.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
