John Knox Village is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) that provides senior housing, as well as countless services and amenities. The Village also provides long-term health care services, including home care, residential care/assisted living, skilled nursing and hospice. The Village has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Manager within their growing Village Home Health department. Morgan Hunter HealthSearch has been retained to conduct this key search.

Widely recognized as one of the best and most comprehensive retirement communities in the Greater Kansas City Area, The Village offers residents a long list of activities, classes and travel opportunities, as well as a 9-hole executive golf course, multiple restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a bowling alley and much more - without ever leaving the Village's 400-plus acre campus. While residents enjoy their retirement, the Village takes care of their housework, maintenance and repairs.
Opportunity:
The Home Health department serves patients and their families in nine counties in Missouri and Kansas, as well as residents of John Knox Village. Average daily census ranges between 400 and 500. The Clinical Manager is responsible for managing seven nurses and will spend approximately two days per week in the field where they conduct supervised visits and mentor staff. The department is well supported internally and just went through a mock survey where they did very well (scored 100% in over 20 categories and had only one potential minor delinquency).
Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates will present with supervisory experience in home health, hospice or other at-home services (wound care, infusion, etc.). Consideration will also be provided to candidates who present with solid home health nursing skills with no previous management experience but are ready for that step as appropriate mentoring is available. Successful characteristics are a team player, problem-solver, decisive and patient-focused. An RN is required and a BSN preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
