Duties:
Provide proactive recommendations to the customer for improving their use of EMC storage solutions to help maximize their satisfaction with EMC. Actively contribute to the design, configuration, administration and performance tuning of EMC products. Participate in the design and operational execution of the customer's disaster recovery process. Perform infrastructure maintenance and necessary data migration. Provide assistance to EMC technical teams in the development of custom solutions and implementation preparation. Perform necessary infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and customer's change management policies. Perform according to established safety standards. Report unsafe situations and recommend improvements. Work in conjunction with EMC colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues encountered during implementations. Support and report to engagement Project Manager and advice Project Manager on Level of Effort required to perform assigned implementations. Provide technical team leadership. Participate in the continual review and improvement of existing operational policies and procedures in compliance with EMC's best practices. Provide support and instruction to customers and less experienced co-workers. Act as a mentor and assist or present training development environments to peers, customers and other organizations. Must be willing to travel 30% (throughout the United States).
Requirements:
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field, followed by 60 months of progressive work experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Cisco Fabric switches including FCIP; 2) Storage arrays Symmetrix and Clariions; 3) Data Replication products RecoverPoint, SRDF and TimeFinder; 4) Storage migrations tools Open Replicator(OR) and PPME; 5) SAN management tools Cisco Fabric Manager, Unisphere, Navisphere, navicli and symcli; 6) UNIX operating systems AIX or Solaris; 7) Multipathing software Powerpath; 8) Brocade San fabric switches; 9) Third party products IBM XIV, HP and Hitachi;10) Basic unix scripting; 11) Require specialist and one expert level industry standard EMC Proven Professional Certifications like EMCDCA SAN specialist or EMCIE SAN expert; 12) Storage/SAN Implementation, Storage migrations design. Any suitable combination of education, and experience is acceptable. Must be willing to travel 30% (throughout the United States).
