Summary:
The Driver's primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of customer packages while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction as well as exceeding safety regulations. This requires a team-focused person who actively participates on behalf of the team.

Able to navigate the assigned driving area in an efficient manner for package delivery

Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:
Show up ready to work each day at the designated start time
Participate in all Safety meetings as required
Participate in the sort and scanning in of packages at the terminal and loading of the truck
Adjusting manifest of stops as needed to maximize efficiency of the route
Perform daily pre-trip safety inspections on all equipment and following up with any deficits with the manager
Communicate with Manager and/or Driver Coordinator before leaving and follow any instructions given
Communicate with the Manager and/or Driver Coordinator as needed and follow instructions as required including but not limited to: delays, arrivals, and equipment problems
Demonstrate excellent customer service to our customers, FedEx employees and our fellow co-workers.
Maintain a clean working environment keeping the vehicle free from debris
Complete a post-trip safety inspection and communicate with manager as to ensure optimal operation of the vehicle for the following day as well as help facilitate any work needed
Complete all other end-of-day functions
Maintain extensive knowledge of geography and demographics of assigned area
Comply with all safety standards, laws, regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Adhere to gas card and credit card contract

Other Functions:
Deliver additional routes on an as needed basis
Working on Saturday as needed
Working additional hours during the Christmas holiday season
Any other duties as required

Required Physical Abilities:
Ability to routinely lift heavy items
Ability to lift/carry hand freight weighing up to 75lbs
Ability to operate delivery truck
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck
Ability to follow instruction and complete required training
Ability to work independently as well as a team member
Must be 21 years or older

Experience, Education, and Certifications Required:
Requires a minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience within the past 3 years. This can be driving any type of vehicle. OR (5) years commercial driving experience within the last 10 years OR no driving experience but pay to take a class to be a driver.
Must be approved by FedEx
Requires a High School Diploma or similar
Must pass drug screen, criminal background check
Must have valid driver's license
Must have a clean driving record (defined as no more than 2 moving violations or 1 at fault accident in the last 36 months)

Compensation $550-$550 a week starting. Pay increases come with increased efficiency. Paid every Friday

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
