Certified Coding and Billing Rep
Under general supervision, the Certified Coder and Billing Representative is responsible for verifying accounts have been billed to and received by the appropriate third-party payer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to making sure claims are processed in the most efficient method using paper or an electronic media in a timely fashion to ensure a positive cash flow.
Representative must maintain knowledge of CMA and all other payers billing and coding rules and serves as a resource to facility staff.
A High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years minimum experience in OB-GYN Coding preferred.
CPC certification required or the employee may have 12 mos from date of hire to acquire the certification.
