Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:
Responsible for opening or signing for all return deliveries for the department. Verify contents of merchandise to ship slip and match returned merchandise to item SKU description. Verify approved documents. Electronically receive and verify quantity is accurate between ship slip Document using the AS/400 computer system. Work will be performed in an office environment. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Responsible, under limited supervision, for the execution of return merchandise Items. This role will have a weekly schedule to ensure timely execution of returned inventory. Visual Inspections to include Identification/Damage or check measurements of items with acceptance defined or reference sample photos. Route returns items requiring further inspection to Loss Prevention Management for Inspection. Distribute/Transfer processed return merchandise and completed inspection items to appropriate individual or department location(return to vendor, clean/polish, repair, etc). Direction is given and completed assignments and/or work is reviewed to ensure compliance with processes, standards and policies of the company.
Essential Job Functions:
Use computer and other standard office equipment, legally drive, take directions, carryout instructions, follow posted rules and & interact with coworkers.
May instruct or coach store personnel to ensure correct ship/transfer procedures are followed. Review open transfer report; research old transfers, which are still open. Review open return report; Contact stores to research old returns not yet received.
Assist department manager with the following.
Review/Download store surveillance video when needed.
PC Multimedia skills preferred.
Experience/Education
High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience required or Associate's Degree with 1 or more years of office experience is required. Strong interpersonal and written skills required. An understanding of accounting inventory principles required. Proficient in MS Office products including Excel, and Word. Data entry is highly recommended.

Ability to develop and maintain excellent leadership skills, including proactive employee, co-worker, and administrative working relationships at all appropriate levels, within corporate office and company stores. Ability to provide clarification and understanding to influence others in accepting company policies. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to manage, plan, organize, assign, schedule, and prioritize multiple work assignments and projects as directed to achieve order management and fulfillment objectives.
Salary commensurate with experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
