Parts Room/Inventory Specialist
Storeroom Attendant - Beaver Dam, WIPay:
$13/hrShift:
Bouncing.
Must be available 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift, M-F.
8-12 hour shifts.
Length:
1 year assignment, possible permanent hire after 6 months.
Kelly Services currently has openings for a Storeroom Attendant at one of our largest clients located in Beaver Dam, WI.
Summary Statement:
The Storeroom Attendant will maintain inventory control and organization for the plant storerooms.
This position will have accountability for the part-time storeroom employees on the off-shifts.
This position performs physical inventories along with reconciliations through the various inventory management systems.
The role of this position is to be the leader of the Storeroom to ensure accountability of $1.
2MM worth of inventory in MRO.
This person also works with a variety of other production related materials such as lubricants and clothing.
Candidates must be familiar with department assignment of equipment parts, manufacturer names and parts numbers, receiving materials, recording duties, and issuing materials.
The Storeroom Attendant works with internal and external resources to ensure that the necessary parts are in stock and accounted for.
This position works with computer systems such as SAP, iPaySmart, SmartKart, and Microsoft Office applications.
The Storeroom Attendant needs to be flexible to meet the demands of the customers.
Primary Role and
Responsibilities:
Facilitation of the company strategies for Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) Management Control $1.
2MM worth of MRO inventory.
Lead/direct part-time employees for the off-shifts Work with suppliers to lower on-hand cost and remove obsolete parts.
Work with Planner to kit up-coming jobs.
(Kitting) Record and assist with lowering emergency requisition cost.
Record and complete root cause analysis for out-of-stock part conditions.
Report out each month to Storeroom supervisor cost savings, out-of-stock amount, and cycle count numbers.
Assist planner with creation of Bill of Material (BOM) for each piece of equipment.
Work with buying center on outstanding Purchase Orders and open requisitions.
Review daily reservation report and pull parts for kitting.
Work with MRO buyer to order proper parts for repairs and projects.
Perform physical inventory of parts and supplies by conducting daily cycle counts of selected materials.
Reconcile received parts, packing slip, and purchase order to ensure accuracy.
Issue parts and supplies to Maintenance and Production members.
Perform daily transactions in SAP, iPaysmart, and SmartKart.
Perform daily dispatching of repair and returns Perform daily restocking of bins for goods receipts (parts & supplies) Perform daily retrieval & disbursements of goods issue tickets from satellite storerooms.
Assist other attendants in identifying, locating, and issuing parts and supplies Handle emergency purchases or stockouts.
Provide vacation and absence coverage for other team members Perform area housekeeping duties Obtain Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) numbers from suppliers as needed.
Prepare items for shipment as required.
Communicate with suppliers as needed.
Troubleshoot Accounts Payable Exceptions Perform weekly Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) Process Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and employees.
Serve as a leader or participant on assigned teams and support team decisions.
Performs all required observations and training timely as scheduled Follow all company policies and Good Manufacturing practices.
Supports Plant Quality Systems Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Education Level:
High School Diploma/GED Required Demonstrate leadership qualities Ability to lift up to 50 pounds per NIOSH Lifting Equation and utilize plant approved safe lifting practices for over 50 pounds Demonstrates effective communication skills in both verbal and written form Must have ability to work with all levels of the organization and external resources Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills Demonstrates computer knowledge with Microsoft Office business applications along with SAP Able to work with little or no direct supervision at times Demonstrates flexibility to work extended shifts when required Demonstrates basic knowledge of tools and common parts IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
