Director of Lab
Description:
Currently seeking a Director of Laboratory in the western area of Virginia.
The ideal candidate will have supervisory/management experience in a hospital lab and supervise the overall operations for an acute care facility.
The responsibilities of the Director of Lab include:
-Set the overall strategy and the vision of the laboratory -Be responsible for successful team building with the lab and the hospital -Will ensure regulatory and accrediting agency compliance Requirements of the Director of Lab:
-Minimum BA/BS in Medical Technology.
Preferred Education:
MBA or MA in scientific discipline.
-Hospital or reference Laboratory experience preferred.
-Minimum
Experience:
5 years Supervisory/Mgmt.
in a hospital or reference Laboratory.
-Thorough understanding of the accreditation and regulatory requirements -Strong knowledge of applicable laws and guidelines of Lab and Personnel Management -Strong collaborative work style and commitment to get job done.
