DEKA's design team is looking for an energetic, talented, passionate and responsible Industrial Designer to help us tackle major health, physical accessibility and social problems. The individual in this role will be collaborating with teams of engineers, user interface designers, and human factors specialists to create compelling and intuitive products. You must be able to handle project level responsibilities and should be deadline driven with a focus on high quality output.
Responsibilities:
Manage industrial design related activities for your respective projects
Concept development through sketching and rapid prototyping (low and high fidelity)
Produce quality CAD data that can be used by the engineering team
Plan and run multidisciplinary brainstorm sessions
Participate in the creation of usability requirements
Communicate design related deliverables to project managers and team members
Collaborate closely with the Industrial Design team, User Interface Designers and Engineers on a daily basis
Conduct product benchmarking research
Participate in the planning and conducting of ethnographic research
Research and incorporate ergonomic data into product designs
Keep up with the latest medical and consumer product trends
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a design related major with a minimum of 3 years of experience in product development
Experience designing medical products is preferred but not required
Portfolio showing strong Industrial Design
Proficient in 3D parametric modeling software (e.g. Autodesk Inventor, Creo,Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
