This position is eligible for teleworking
Provide Data Analysis and Architecture support to development project teams. The primary role of this position is to provide data analysis and architecture support to development project teams.
Roles:
This position will analyze and develop complex database designs, logical & physical data models & architectural system models.
This position will assist with the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues and the transformation of business requirements into logical data and system models.
This position identifies opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends in data uses, and single sources of data while maintaining an enterprise wide perspective.
This position will assist with the development and collaboration of an enterprise wide data model and data dictionary.
This position is eligible for telework
This position is not eligible for over-time and will be capped at 40 hours a week.
Data Modeling and Database Design (strong knowledge of relational database concepts)
Ability for an end-to-end vision (see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive stages involved for presentation to an end-user)
Data Validation, Cleansing, Mapping, Extraction and Migration
SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)
Data Integration
Create and manage Data Dictionaries
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking
Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data models (DFDs, DSDs and/or ERDs)
Ability to create ETL specifications and develop data mappings
Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine the source and resolution of errors
Clear and concise documentation skills
High level knowledge of programming practices
Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses
Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while maintaining a professional manner
Self-motivated team player able to work cooperatively in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when required
Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities
Ability to communicate with diversified stakeholders
Data Warehousing is a plus
Required / Desired Skills
Normalized data modeling and database design (dimensional modeling a plus) (Required 5 Years)
Data-centric positions or roles (Required 5 Years)
Data management experience (Highly Desired 3 Years)
SQL (PL/SQL is a plus) (Highly Desired 3 Years)
Hands on experience with ETL Tools (Highly Desired 3 Years)
Public Sector experience (Highly Desired 2 Years)
Strong knowledge of relational database concepts (Required 5 Years)
