Driver (15 passenger van)

EMARC is currently seeking part-time Drivers for our Beverly Life Choices Program. Candidates must be caring and patient drivers that will provide transportation for people with developmental disabilities to and from their day program. Drivers pick program participants up at their home and drop them off at the program location. You will get to know some great individuals as you help them to start and end their day.
SHIFTS
Monday - Friday, Split-shifts from 6:
30 am - 8:
30 am and 2:
30 - 4:
30 pm.
RATE OF PAY
$11.80 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the safe and punctual transportation of individuals to their vocational program/place of employment and to and from home.
Abides by all work rules and personnel policies.
Notifies Director of vehicle/equipment deficiencies and maintains cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
Provides assistance as needed to Consumers when entering and leaving the vehicle.
Completes monthly vehicle maintenance/safety checklist and turns it in to the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED or further education preferred. At least 3 years driving experience with a clean driving record.
Experience working with families of individuals and professional service providers is preferred.
Valid MA Driver's license required.
Drug/alcohol test and physical exam required.
Acceptable CORI report required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
