Manufacturing Engineer

General Statement/Purpose of Job:
This position provides support for the product development and manufacturing engineering functions within our company. This position can work on product development and testing of in the creation and prove out of new sheet metal parts and the required programs. Creating and implementing manufacturing methods and teaching them to our assembly team is required. Participation in continuous improvement projects as applicable is a key role in the position of manufacturing engineer.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Works under the direction of the Engineering Manager to achieve the goals of the department.
o Plans and coordinates testing and submittals for new product to regulatory agencies
o Analyzes alternate component performance and value in the development of new products
o Regulate new product BOM in our ERP system
o May use Solid Edge modeling software to produce prototype Cad models or related sheet metal componentry.
o May use Fabriwin CAM software to produce CNC programs for the sheet metal department.
o Produce and document work instructions for the assembly and wiring of ILP lighting fixtures.
o Train assembly workers in the assembly of new products.
o Works from written, pictorial or verbal instruction.
o Interfaces with sales to understand new fixture requirements.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree Engineering or Associates degree and relevant experience.
Travel:
Minimal travel required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
