Construction Project Manager

The Construction Project Administrator provides administrative support for all phases of one or more construction projects, including calling contractors, making appointments, ordering supplies, doing site visits and preparing reports. The Construction Project Administrator will perform tasks required to start up, maintain and close projects in an organized, thorough and timely manner under the direction of the Sr. Project Manager. This position requires handling and managing information both internally and externally creating positive relationships critical to the project's success. MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or GED required, (AA Degree, preferred).
3-5 years construction project contract management experience required, preferably in multi-family projects.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
A valid California Class C driver's license, which must be maintained throughout employment in this class, is required at time of appointment, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for frequent field travel throughout the day.
The successful candidate will have experience in obtaining bids from subcontractors, handling preliminary qualifications based on scope and specs provided by Sr. Project Manager, prepares bid spreads for review, maintains commitments in a project management system, monitors and maintains licensing requirements in multiple jurisdictions and provides general administrative duties under the direction of the Sr. Project Manager. The Construction Project Administrator must be highly organized and have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Methodology, analysis, and interpretation of construction scheduling, project planning and budgeting.
Practices, methods and materials used in building and construction trades; theories, principles and methods of structural, concrete, electrical and plumbing construction.
Comprehensive knowledge of various Jurisdictional and Municipality plan review process.
The fundamentals of architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural systems.
Structural principles, building materials technology and construction practices and techniques.
Building and safety codes, State, City and County regulations and inspection requirements.
Safety practices and CAL-OSHA requirements relevant.
Building and craft trades (carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, mechanical, and electrical trades).
Principles and practices of effective time and project management.
Standard business software, including MS Windows, MS Office Suite and Google Apps.
Basic research methods and data analysis techniques.
Principles and practices of sound business communication and interpersonal skills.
Telephone, office, and online etiquette.
This position primarily works in an office environment, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, occassional overtime may be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
