Purchasing Manager, Progressive Mfg. Firm---Very Visible
The Purchasing Manager will focus on the following duties:
--Responsible for the corporate-controlled purchasing of all stock items, except resin, including additives, concentrates, packagingm and finished goods, and related financial aspects.
--Negotiates and maintains all national supply agreements, in cooperation with the Purchasing Director, and EVP of Operations.
--Handle requests from 11 manufacturing plants.
--You will have two direct reports.
--Manages national bids and other cost saving measure, in all purchasing categories.
--Manages corporate purchasing projects, including those related to company acquisitions, consolidations. and operating system implementations.
--Ovesees the Purchasing/ISO Coordinator and Packaging Coordinator, in processing purchase orders and invoices, maintaining price sheets, and preparing reports and other documents for various corporate purchasing projects.
Skills/
Experience:
--Experience with all aspects of procurement of packaging and raw materials preferred.
--Excellent written and verbal communication skills, managerial and organizational skills.
--Ability to multi-task well and function in a fast paced environment.
--Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
--Basic accounting knowledge.
--The following would be considered a plus: Bachelor's Degree., experience in the flexible packaging industry, knowledge of QAD, Experience supporting a multi-plant operation.
--Compensation: $65k to $75k, commensurate with experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
