Qualifications


Must have a Bachelor of Science degree with a major or minor in chemistry or related science field; prior laboratory experience is preferred
Basic computer and typing skills are required for data entry and use of various computer software programs
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen and background check

Primary Responsibilities / Duties

Provides technical and analytical support to the manufacturing plants
Performs analytical tests, preventive instrument maintenance, and calibration, per written work instructions as well as generating Certificates of Analysis (CofA)
Assists in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), along with processes, and quality enhancements
Maintains daily production and analytical documentation by utilizing electronic databases
Participates on the quality audit teams
Operates various analytical detection equipment and trains subordinates on equipment operation
Analyze organic or inorganic compounds to determine chemical or physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, or reactions, using chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry techniques
Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed
Develop, improve, or customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, or analytical methods
Conduct quality control tests
Direct, coordinate, or advise personnel in test procedures for analyzing components or physical properties of materials
Prepare test solutions, compounds, or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests
Compile and analyze test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency or to diagnose malfunctions
Confer with scientists or engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results, or develop nonstandard tests
Write technical papers or reports or prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, or tests
Induce changes in composition of substances by introducing heat, light, energy, or chemical catalysts for quantitative or qualitative analysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
