Medical Office Receptionist

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to work in our fast paced medical office.
This position requires a Smile! We are looking to fill a full-time front office position with an energetic and caring person. Our patients mean the world to us and it is our privilege to give our patients a pleasant and friendly experience. The successful candidate will have a willingness to work closely with patients, physicians, and other members of the health care team. Must be professional, detail-oriented, and have exceptional phone skills. This position is highly customer service oriented - we want our patients to not only see your smile in person, but hear your smile over the phone as well!
Shift: Full Time, Monday through Friday, and one Saturday (half day) a month

Job Description:
Greet all patients in a warm, friendly and professional manner
Demonstrates a positive attitude. Is polite, courteous and professional
Answers and responds to all calls in a professional manner. Takes accurate messages, ensures that
messages are delivered to the appropriate person
Works well with the rest of the team to make sure all daily task as completed
Maintains effective lines of communication with practitioners and coworkers within TLC
Schedules and confirms patient appointments
Verify insurance eligibility , collects correct payment at the time of service
Participates in TLC staff meetings and communicates and problem solves issues related to quality care
Professional dress and appearance, and is punctual
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Must have excellent public relations and customer service skills
Excellent telephone etiquette
Personable and friendly
Must be able to work in a fast-paced department and handle multiple tasks, work with interruptions,
maintain focus and attention to detail, and deal effectively with confidential information
Team player who is always willing to lend a hand
Exhibit courtesy/respect for co-workers and willing to help co-workers when needed
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with individuals at all
levels of the organization
Must have a professional and mature demeanor, self-motivated, and energetic

Proficiency using a computer
Experience:
Previous experience as a receptionist in the health care industry or customer service is preferred, but not
required
Computer Skills:
General computer proficiency and word processing skills required
Ability to type with speed and accuracy ( 40 WPM or better)
EMR/EHR experience is a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
