Advanced Medical Support Assistant (PACT) Valdosta CBOC
The Advanced Medical Support Assistant duties will include, but not limited to:
o Interacting with both internal and external customers.
o Assume administrative role for assigned PACT teamlet.
o Obtaining medical information from patients.
o Coordinating information and actions related to patient care and services.
o Scheduling appointments in accordance with VHA national scheduling mandates.
o Entering no-show information.
o Monitoring recall lists for appointments.
o Processing medication requests.
o Preparing clinic for business as needed.
o Ensuring encounters are completed in allotted time to ensure proper workload credit.
o Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
o Provides eligibility information to customers as neededo Prepare travel vouchers in accordance with travel pay guidelines.
o Answer/direct incoming calls to clinic to appropriate service.
o Process all emergent and non-emergent transfers to local facilities as needed.
o Adhere to all policies and regulations as requiredo MSA will refer all questions requiring immediate medical attention to appropriate health care team member.
o All duties assigned by supervisor or supervisor approved designee.
Work Schedule:
Mon - Fri 8:
00 am - 4:
30 pm, with a 30 minute unpaid meal time.
