Application Developer
Job Function:
This position will work as part of the SmartLinx Development team on its next generation suite of software products.
The Application Developer will work with the latest development tools in the industry and play an instrumental role in the success of ongoing and future projects.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
o Work as part of an Agile team to Design and Develop interactive and visually rich Enterprise mobile applications using HTML5 and Javascript Frameworks
o Translate requirements into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and performance
o Design and Develop HTML5 applications using Javascript Frameworks
o Develop .NET Web Services for client facing applications
o Assist in defining Software Architectures
o Collaborate with Team to explore areas of risk and complexity and identify solutions to mitigate them
o Read and document application code
o Identify gaps in application code
o Develop and test applications on multiple browsers, enhancing and modifying code as necessary
o Analyze and document system requirements, develop flowcharts and wireframes
o Communicate continuously with Product Management and Product Development teams
o Build applicable unit and integration tests
o Assist QA team in development and execution of test cases
Qualifications:
o BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
o 0-3 Years working in a software development environment
o Prior experience in payroll processing and/or Human Resources application development is strongly preferred
Technologies:

o SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment with a team of top-notch developers, product and project managers
o Experience gathering business requirements
o Deep commitment to software quality assurance. All.The.Time.
o Excellent analytical, logical, writing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
o Detail orientated, excellent follow-through abilities, professional
o Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence, including excellent writing skills
o Self-starter who is reliable and able to execute special assignments and tasks, and has the experience to work independently and prioritize work to meet deadlinesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
